Marshall Bruce Mathers III, better known as Eminem or stylized EMINƎM, is an American rapper, producer, actor and label founder born on October 17, 1972 in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Eminem is considered today as one of the best rappers of all time and has won several Grammy Awards.
Eminem began his career in 1996 with the album Infinite, but it was with his second album, The Slim Shady LP, in 1999, that he made a name for himself and became a rap star. His third album, The Marshall Mathers LP, is the second best-selling studio album of all time with over 30 million copies sold. Since then, Eminem has released nine studio albums and several mixtapes.
In addition to his solo career, Eminem also founded the group D12, with which he released two studio albums. In 2000, Eminem also formed the duo Bad Meets Evil with Royce da 5’9″ and temporarily joined the group Outsidaz in the second half of the 1990s.
With estimated sales of over 170 million albums worldwide, Eminem is widely considered one of the most popular artists of all time. He has also been hailed as one of the greatest artists of his generation and one of the greatest rappers of all time.
In 2023, Eminem is still one of the most popular and respected rappers. He is touring internationally and recently released a new song, « Higher », which has been very well received by his fans. His next album is also highly anticipated and he recently announced that he will be working on a biographical film. He remains very involved with young people and invests in social and educational projects.
